Preparing for the Holidays
It’s that time of the year again and the rush is on.
Between now and December 24th more print orders will be placed than in the three months leading up to it. So we at Zenfolio would like to share some pointers and tips to make your holiday season as stress-free and productive as possible.
Things to Remember
Send your changes and cancelations right away
Approve orders quickly
Delivery cut-off dates
Holiday Delivery Deadlines
When in doubt, choose FedEx!
In our experience, FedEx has a better track record of delivering on time during busy seasons, so we recommend using the FedEx option as much as possible. Mpix charges a flat fee for FedEx Next Business Day delivery of only $11.25 no matter the size or weight of the order.
Framing, Finishing and Packaging
If your clients are purchasing photos as gifts for the holidays, framing might be a perfect addition to their order. Remind your clients that professionally framed photos make easy and breathtaking presents. And don’t forget to add framing and finishing to your pricelists.
For our Premium Business subscribers that have order Approval enabled, we recommend choosing the Boutique Packaging option in the shipping method. The elegant decoration of the boxes will be an unforgettable touch to your client’s holiday order.
fotoflōt has scheduled production time the week before Christmas to ensure timely arrival for all USPS Priority Mail packages. However they will not be doing any production during the week before Christmas and New Year’s so the deadline for both holidays is the same.
Unique photo products from IYP are great as gifts around the holidays. But please remember that production of your unique gifts can take up to 5 business days, so be sure to place and approve your orders promptly.
Here is a tip that will help you keep your holiday mailings looking sharp and professional. If you are planning on mailing holiday greeting cards or sending thank you cards to your clients, personalize them with custom postage stamps from PictureItPostage.
You can place your studio logo, a family portrait, or any other image on a U.S. Postage Stamp in any denomination. The stamps are oversized and print in high quality with attention to details. You have to see a sheet of custom stamps for yourself to appreciate the impact they can make.
If you’d like to order Postage Stamps as gifts you can wait up to December 10th to place your order. However, if you’re hoping to use the stamps for your holiday cards, you should definitely place the order before November 29th.
Have a great holiday season!
